Compassion. Camaraderie. Commitment.
Service to the community is a passion and a tradition at M Culinary Concepts. We hold dear the people we serve and the planet we share. We are committed to giving back.
Each day finds our team working hard to serve our clients and colleagues. You will find us investing our time, talents and resources to support and improve the lives of those around us, from global causes to local organizations.
“There is no such thing as ‘away’. When we throw anything away it must go somewhere.” – Annie Leonard
M Culinary Concepts engages environmentally friendly and sustainable practices. Whenever possible, we source ingredients and materials from local suppliers and minimize waste through the use of 100% compostable disposable service ware and packaging, and partner with organizations to rescue leftover food. Our fleet management program reduces fuel consumption and emissions.
"Throwing away food is like stealing from the table of those who are poor and hungry." - Jorge Mario Bergoglio
We partner with local organizations in the communities that collect, from event sites and our commissary locations, leftover food that has been stored appropriately (including at proper temperatures). These organizations then distribute within 24 hours that food to any of 100+ agencies and organizations that work to help end food insecurity.
"Kings and cabbages go back to compost, but good deeds stay green forever." - Rick DeMarinis
We deliver food scraps and food waste to Arizona Worm Farm several times each week. The Worm Farm team uses our product to make compost which is used as food for worms and flora. The worms, in turn, are used as food for chickens that produce eggs for human consumption, as are the fruits and vegetables produced by plants and trees in soil mixed with the compost.
"Conserve water, conserve life." - Every Environmental Protest Sign Ever
At the event level, we discourage the sale of individual bottles of water in favor of bulk water stations featuring filtered drinking water often infused with combinations of fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs. At the national level, we support Change the Course, part of the Bonneville Foundation, in their efforts to develop water conservation programs and waterway restoration programs.
Waste Not
Every day, millions of dollars' worth of food goes to waste, while thousands go hungry in the Phoenix area. Waste Not delivers innovative solutions to fighting hunger while combating waste in the environment. Waste Not is a "food rescuer." Their trucks are on the road six days per week, beginning at 6:30 am, collecting an average of 10,000 pounds of excess perishable food daily from caterers and grocers – food that would otherwise be thrown away. They deliver food the same day to more than 60 diverse agencies that feed the hungry including schools, daycare centers, rehabilitation centers, and senior facilities.
